Now you’ve probably seen all the exercises on different platforms that the fighters are using and you are replicating but with zero To minimum success or gains. Unfortunately its not quite as simple as copying what we’ve seen on instagram or we would all be top athletes. Think of it like this, if you had all the ingredients of a can of coke could you then go and make a can of coke? The answer is probably not, that is because there is a formula to follow. It’s the exact same for a training programme, you know all the exercises (ingredients) but you don’t know the formula on how to put them together and that’s where we come in.

KRISTIAN BLACKLOCK

Kristian is a world renowned strength and conditioning coach. He has worked with multiple British, European and World champions including WBA and Ring magazine super middleweight Callum Smith, former WBO super welterweight champion Liam Smith and currently working with fighter of the year, Ring magazine and WBC heavyweight champion “the gypsy king” Tyson Fury.

LIAM WOODS

Liam is a former boxer and as well as being a conditioning coach he is also a licensed amateur and professional boxing coach. He has worked with top level amateur and professional boxers including England representative Olivia Holmes as well as former team GB amateur stand out and current professional British champion and world ranked Scott Fitzgerald.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT?

Expect to exceed your expectations and improve in the following areas

STRENGTH

Power = force x velocity

 The first 4 weeks we will be focusing on improving the force part. Here we will be working on your sub max lifts, using compound exercises working with high volume loads which allow us to to produce more force. 

SPEED AND POWER

The next 4 weeks is designed to show you how to turn that force into power by using more sport specific exercises and really firing up that posterior chain with a lighter load but working at a much higher velocity, here less is more but we will cover that in the programme. This is the exciting part of the programme where we are working on our “speed strength” and you can feel yourself becoming the most explosive version of yourself.

LACTATE THRESHOLD

Throughout the programme we will also be working to improve your aerobic and anaerobic systems. We have well designed conditioning exercises and drills backed by science that will improve your lactate threshold allowing you to work at higher bouts of intensity for longer before feeling “the burn”. We will teach you how training too hard for too long is actually counterproductive and leads to over training and fatigue.
